Look Mom! I’m Standing! Little Boy “E”

During our session, this little guy did not want to sit down.   He was so proud to show off his standing skills.  We tried to get him to sit but he wasn’t having it.  So we just go with the flow and let him stand and check everything out.   Well not everything….he looked like he wanted to go for a swim in the pond at one point.   Mom had to draw the line there.

Tea Party with Little Miss M

September 15th, 2011

Growing up every little girl needs a tea set.   I still remember mine…Precious Moments.   I spent many afternoons with my Grandma.  Many of those afternoons we sat down for tea.   Usually my cup had way more sugar than tea. On Sunday, I was invited to have tea with Little Miss M.   She just turned two [...]

On Sunday, I was invited to have tea with Little Miss M.   She just turned two and received a brand new rose tea set for her birthday.   She was a wonderful hostess and promptly cleaned up each and every spill.   Here are a few photos from our afternoon.

September 13th, 2011

Little Miss “R” was all smiles when I arrived for our session.  She was ready to show off those big blue eyes.  We even caught a glimpse of those cute dimples in a few shots. Big Brother “B” was suppose to be cleaning his bedroom but we let him off the hook for a little [...]

Big Brother “B” was suppose to be cleaning his bedroom but we let him off the hook for a little while.  He curled up with his little sister and even let her catch a few ZZZs on him.

Cue Music:  “Schoolbag in hand, she leaves home in the early morning, waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile…”

By 9am yesterday, I had a remarkably quiet house.  With only one little boy at home, there were no squabbles, no fights, no toy arguments.  My youngest wandered around a little unsure of what to do without his playmate.   You see…my oldest went off to first grade.

Always a morning person, he was the first one up…to squeeze in some morning cartoons before school while eating breakfast.   Over the summer, he would drag his feet as I prodded him to get dress each day.   With the excitement of back to school, he was suddenly a cooperative child doling out kisses as I helped him get dressed.  Then, with Batman lunchbox in hand, he made his way out the door.  Happy to pose for a few photos from the mamarazzi.

As he waited in line to walk into school, his smile turned a little unsure a few times.  Just briefly until he saw old friends from Kindergarten. Once into their new classroom, they eagerly looked for their names on each desk.   They were happily greeted by a goodie bag with a morning snack, pencils and erasers.  I watched as little hands slowly opened the top of their new desks.  Little smiles emerged as they realized that it was their own space.

Parents slowly said their goodbyes.  A few classmates shed a few tears.   Then we made our ways home to slightly quieter homes.  Me…well I am counting down the days till preschool starts.

Introducing Newborn Baby N

September 6th, 2011

Baby N arrived about 3 weeks ago.  Just yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph him.   He has this beautiful head of hair already.  I joked with his mom that they share the same haircut. Baby N arrived about 3 weeks ago.  Just yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph him.   He has this beautiful head of hair already.  I joked with his mom that they share the same haircut.

As he finished his bottle, I was told he was a little camera shy during his hospital photos.   And during our session he made us work.  With patience, we persevered and ended up with some wonderful shots.
