Stephanie Doran

For most of her life, Stephanie has enjoyed capturing moments on film. From family gatherings to trips abroad, a camera was always close by.

After birth of her oldest son, Stephanie was called to children’s photography. Stephanie wanted to capture the special moments in life for other families just as she does for her own family.

As a mother, Stephanie has learned the art of patience and how to engage children. Her goal is for each session to take place in a calm familiar setting producing images that capture the natural spirit of the child.

Fall Session with Little Girl J

November 3rd, 2011

I love two year olds.  It is such an unpredictable and fun age.   Photos from this age are always very candid and natural. On Sunday morning, I had a wonderful session with Little Miss J.   It was the perfect November day to wander around the Metropark. Check out the beautiful hazel (as she told me) [...]

The Hicks Family and the Blustery Day

I almost thought it was Winds-Day when I met the entire Hicks family.   It was quite a blustery day.   The weather leading up to yesterday evening had us worried that this session might have to be postponed.  Yet, right on cue the cloud parted just a little and let the sun shine through.

Just like the day we actually breezed right through this session.  When I stepped into my car, I couldn’t believe the clock.  These wonderful shots were all captured in one hour.   Its days like these that I think “When I’m looking at six adorable faces like these, how can I not love my job?”

I had a great time at Heritage Park with little boy “E” on Sunday.   After a couple days of rain, the weather was perfect for a photo shoot.

During our session, this little guy did not want to sit down.   He was so proud to show off his standing skills.  We tried to get him to sit but he wasn’t having it.  So we just go with the flow and let him stand and check everything out.   Well not everything….he looked like he wanted to go for a swim in the pond at one point.   Mom had to draw the line there.

Tea Party with Little Miss M

September 15th, 2011

Growing up every little girl needs a tea set.   I still remember mine…Precious Moments.   I spent many afternoons with my Grandma.  Many of those afternoons we sat down for tea.   Usually my cup had way more sugar than tea. On Sunday, I was invited to have tea with Little Miss M.   She just turned two [...]

On Sunday, I was invited to have tea with Little Miss M.   She just turned two and received a brand new rose tea set for her birthday.   She was a wonderful hostess and promptly cleaned up each and every spill.   Here are a few photos from our afternoon.

Big Brother “B” was suppose to be cleaning his bedroom but we let him off the hook for a little while.  He curled up with his little sister and even let her catch a few ZZZs on him.
